
Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22nd, 1975)[1] is an American actress and director. She is also a talk show host and author. She is a part of the Barrymore family of actors, she has won numerous awards and nominations which include a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, along with nominations for the British Academy Film Award and seven Emmy Awards. In 2004, she was awarded a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her breakthrough role in E.T. made her a famous actor for children. The Extra-Terrestrial. In the wake of a highly-publicized childhood filled with alcohol and drug addiction, she published an autobiography Little Girl Lost. She appeared in numerous successful films during the 1990s and 2000s, including Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore as well as Adam Sandler starred in the films The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates Blended, The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates and Other films she has appeared in include Firestarter, Donnie Darko, Riding in Cars with Boys, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Fever Pitch and Music and Lyrics, Going the Distance, Big Miracle, and Miss You Already. In Whip It, her directorial debut film, she also starred. Grey Gardens won her a Screen Actors Guild Award as well as a Golden Globe Award. She is currently host of The Drew Barrymore Show, her talk show that is syndicated.
