Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actor and singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier - a nurse - and Tom Bell - a television director. She's an American singer and actress. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer in the early stages. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. She is now also taking individual acting classes. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a part of the music and drama groups in Shrine Catholic High School. She was the star of Dorothy in her high school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. Bell was a graduate in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit with Pootie Tang during 2001. However, her scene, was trimmed and now her appearance only appears in the credits at the end. Bell made an appearance on Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
