She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on the 9th of July, 1983. After graduating, her first job was in the real estate business. This is where she made friends with Tarek. In 2008, following the crash of the stock market the real estate market was hit hard by investors and home flippers were unable to make their profits. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa had a chance to be financially bankrupted after the stock market crash in the year 2008. They were living in an apartment that cost $6,000 per month, to an apartment that cost $700 per month. Their businesses and the economy slowly recovered. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek asked an acquaintance to create a HGTV audition film in the year 2011, which featured him as well as Christina flipping over a house. Pie Town Productions executive received the tape. They were enthralled by Christina and Tarek's love story. The couple officially signed a HGTV deal in 2012. The program "Flip of Flop" was launched on April 13, 2013. Between 2013 until 2017, the show was a hit for 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek, who appeared on the show, would purchase houses, usually mid-income properties in Orange County.
